Pro Sport turf is ideal for tennis court surfacing. The sport of tennis may be played on many different court types. Each surface has its own characteristics of bounce, speed and slide, which differ significantly between the court types. Synthetic turf courts simulating lawn are well known. Depending upon the fiber density and height, a synthetic tennis court turf will meet the ITF (International Tennis Federation) court standards for a medium or fast rating.
Synthetic tennis court turf is manufactured by using a flexible backing sheet into which is stitched (tufted) parallel rows of synthetic yarn. This synthetic yarn extends upwards of the backing sheet to simulate blades of grass. The Pro Sport turf features a special infill material that is worked between the blades, holding the blades generally upright and providing resilience to the sports surface. These courts are a nice alternative for comfort and attractiveness, and an ideal option for resurfacing older courts.
